The 2x40A Motor Controller is the peanut butter if the goBILDA® 20V Smart Dock is the jelly! This 2-channel controller is ready to proportionally control the speed and direction of up to two Saturn Planetary Gear Motors per channel. Add the 20V Battery and goBILDA® 20V Smart Dock to that mix to unleash heavy-duty 20V action!

Each of the two channels can handle 40A continuously, and up to 50A peak. Motor control is facilitated safely thanks to temperature, current, and reverse-voltage protections. Status LEDS keep you in the know about the signals received by the motor controller, as well as any current, voltage, or temperature errors. A signal arm zone prevents unintentional motion.

The slim footprint allows you to nestle it down inside of your project. The aluminum heatsink doubles as a mounting base, boasting M4 threaded holes on the goBILDA® 8mm grid pattern that allow you to easily fasten it to other goBILDA® components.

Power Input

Supply anywhere from 9-30V to the XT90 connector to power your motors. Though you can send that power from any suitable battery, the goBILDA® 20V Smart Dock has an XT90 output for heavy-duty powering!

Signal Input

Plug an RC receiver, Arduino, or any source of a PWM servo-signal into the Channel A and/or Channel B ports. The beefy BEC will supply 6.2V and up to 6A to the servo controller via the + pins so that you can drive servos and other devices without the need for a separate battery.

Output

Each channel of the motor controller can handle up to 40A of continuous current. You can plug in as many motors as you’d like to each of the two channels—just as long as you do not surpass the current limit of that channel. The bullet connectors allow you to wire-up your motor or build a harness to supply power to multiple motors.
