Featuring a high-performance Arducam imaging module housed in a rugged goBILDA® case, this global shutter USB camera brings rock-solid imaging performance to FTC teams during high-speed autonomous navigation. Unlike traditional rolling-shutter cameras that capture images row-by-row—causing geometric distortion and a "jello effect" when your robot turns—this camera utilizes a global shutter sensor to capture the entire frame simultaneously, drastically reducing object distortion during relative motion. The result is crisp, skew-free snapshots that make AprilTag scanning incredibly fast and reliable, even while your drivetrain is at full throttle.

Housed in a rugged, grid-aligned goBILDA® case, this camera mounts effortlessly to your robot using the included hardware. The integrated mounting tab features six sets of holes on an 8mm linear pattern, allowing you to securely tilt the camera across six different angles from 20° upward to 30° downward to target field elements perfectly. With a 70° field of view that strikes an excellent balance between a wide capture area and low distortion, and the power to stream at a rock-solid 100 FPS, your vision tracking system gets the high-frequency, reliable data you need to calculate precise field localization on the fly.

To make deployment seamless, our comprehensive User Guide provides step-by-step instructions for Blocks, OnBot Java, and Android Studio. We have also developed a calibration file that automatically loads pre-calibrated lens characteristics directly to your REV Control Hub setup, skipping the manual tuning process so your team can focus on dialing in your autonomous paths.

Usage Outside of FTC

This camera is a standard UVC (USB Video Class) device, meaning it is completely plug-and-play and works right out of the box using your operating system's native webcam drivers. There is no custom software or proprietary installations required. It is fully compatible with Windows, Linux, macOS, and Android, making it an excellent pattern-mountable choice for general computer vision projects, custom robotics platforms, or standard desktop applications.
